You Can Help.

 

The House of Ruth, Inc. is a community effort dependent upon your donations. Your support is needed in any capacity that you feel would best serve the victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. We need volunteers to: provide transportation, provide child care, assist with donations, provide advocacy to clients, do light maintenance and repairs or yard work.

 

Donations of food, clothing, household items, toiletries, money, etc. are greatly appreciated. Many of our clients are completely restarting their lives with nothing. All of the donations we receive go towards helping our clients regain their independence and safety from abuse. If you would like to volunteer or make a donation, please call the Administrative Office of The House of Ruth during business hours

8am-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (334) 793-5214 

Shelter Needs:

 

  • Large Bath Towels 

  • Wash Cloths 

  • Laundry detergent

  • Solid color T-Shirts all sizes

  • Diapers all sizes

  • Pullups all sizes

  • Baby wipes

  • Sheets- Twin size

  • Blankets- Twin XL size 

Larger Needs:

  • Assistance with repairs to our current building

Out of Shelter Needs:

  • Shelf stable microwave meals

  • Shelf stable snacks

  • Plastic storage totes

  • Laundry baskets

  • Walmart gift certificates in small denominations for client needs that are not covered by grants.
